Evan Torner
Evan Torner is an Assistant Professor of German Studies at the University of Cincinnati. He received his Ph.D. and Film Studies Certificate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2013 and served as Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Grinnell College. He has published on East German film, critical race theory, science fiction, transnational genre cinema, and game studies. Current projects include the Handbook of East German Cinema with Henning Wrage (Walter De Gruyter), and the monograph A Century and Beyond: Critical Readings of German Science-Fiction Cinema.
